Pros

- Atmosphere is relatively laid back - The people you work with are great and make the job a little more enjoyable - My manager is very transparent and you can tell they really try to be on our side

Cons

- The expectations of the health coaches have been overwhelming, causing a large majority of the people I know to leave - Caseloads doubles and coaches were expected to make calls within a 5 minute time range - Talking to members minute after minute for 8 hours can be exhausting, especially when the computer programs track your breaks and you cannot take a mental break if needed - No sick days and if you are on an accrual PTO plan, you feel like you have to go to work miserably sick because you cannot take a day off for your health - The company used to focus on employee health more and aim to make it more inclusive. - Easy to get burned out on what you are doing day in and day out when you know upper management just cares about making more and more money

Sharecare Response

Thank you for sharing your perspective. We sincerely hope that you’re sharing this – and any other feedback you have – with our leaders. The well-being of our colleagues is incredibly important to us. We have benefits plans in place that include paid time off that can be used at our colleagues’ discretion – vacation, personal, sick time – whatever their needs are. Any colleague with personal needs is encouraged to speak with their leader or HR to determine how we can provide appropriate support. Our health coaches are very important to us – the impact they have on our members is substantial and the work they do is admirable. As such, we take great pride in ensuring they feel supported both in their current roles, and in their professional growth. A significant number of colleagues within Sharecare began their careers with us in our call centers – a fact in which we take great pride. The paths they’ve taken vary from movement into finance, account management and leadership, to name a few. Because the options for growth are diverse, our colleagues must play an active role in their development, and it’s especially important that colleagues partner with their leaders to identify professional growth opportunities. We’d ask that you continue to provide feedback through appropriate internal channels. Your voice matters. Thanks for the important work that you do.

Pros

Great team and benefits enable personal growth

Cons

The foundation model for their business is flawed, giving members points for being healthy is great, but often times having members take advantage of the remote aspect of the role, being rude and not following company requirements. Sharecare doesn't nullify or prevent this, causing coaches to be burdened with both angry carriers and requirements from the company. All while stressing about the metrics. Add in not fully explained job requirements until 6 months, where you are handling up to 80 calls in a day. With managers that do little to help mental and day you just need to be better.
