Pros

It was quite easy to apply, and I was able to get a trial shift quite quickly, but it was possibly due to it being the summer. Quite easy shifts at Wembley, not too busy and not too tiring.

Cons

My account was deactivated without any prior notice due to 'leaving for a long period of time' which was in fact due to me not being able to find any available shifts due to the company moving some to Brighton even though it is supposed to be London based.

Pros

Working at Shack Events provided a great opportunity to develop strong customer service skills in high-pressure environments. The experience of working at large venues like Wembley Stadium and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was exciting and built confidence quickly. Teamwork is a big strength—colleagues are generally supportive, and everyone works together to meet service demands during busy periods. The role also helps build resilience, communication skills, and the ability to think on your feet, which are valuable in any future career.

Cons

The role can be very demanding, especially during peak times where the pace is intense and breaks can be limited. Shifts can be long and physically tiring, particularly when working back-to-back events. As with many event-based roles, hours can sometimes feel inconsistent, and communication around shifts or expectations could occasionally be clearer.
