Pros

Good benefits, seems like a good organization for growth. Remote work, although that is ending soon.

Cons

They don't trust you at all. If you walk away from your desk for more than 5 minutes, you are to report this immediately or they'll suspect you're not doing your job. They've got monitoring software on all computers, so they're logging key strokes, watching your screen, everything. I understand the necessity of security, but the monitoring of your screen all day is 100% weird and invasive on your job. There's no need for that unless you are constantly in suspicion of your employees. They are trying to catch you doing something "bad", which could be not moving your mouse for 15 minutes (Hi I need bathroom breaks). I have worked for a few companies that require high security, and 0% of them have been monitoring my every move. You're just treated like a kindergartner in their first Zoom class. If you don't look 100% engaged at all times, they'll call you out (even if you ARE paying attention!). I do my job honestly and work hard, but the invasion of privacy and lack of any faith in employees has me looking around.

Pros

The benefits are solid, including stock options and unlimited PTO, though I didn't feel especially encouraged to actually use the time off. The C-suite has a clear vision for where the company is headed. Peers are genuinely good to work with, and there's a shared sense that people want to do well and want each other to succeed. It's a growing company, so the stock could carry real value over the long run if that growth holds.

Cons

Leadership at the department level was my main concern. In my experience, the management style made it hard to raise concerns or disagree without it affecting how you were viewed on the team. Direction was often unclear and expectations shifted, which made it difficult to know what success looked like. Over my time here I saw a lot of capable people leave, some by choice and some not, and the turnover lined up with those leadership gaps.
