Currently hiring managers that have no experience in any of the products you are to market. There is a good chance you may have a manager from an entirely different industry they can’t teach, motivate, or lead. They are unwilling and incapable they don’t have the right attitude, nor do they have the right skills. Sales is already a stressful job bringing in revenue is huge. If you are busy hiring new Account Managers throughout the year, which is happening many Account Managers have left because they are no longer being respected, then it could be a sign of a toxic sales culture. Sentry does not pay attention to the unfavorable culture, employees lose interest in the job and quit. Sentry loves to threaten your job like it will somehow motivate you and help you no one should have to work in a culture where you are bullied. They can’t seem to figure out that employees like to feel valued. A billion dollar company with over 4000 employees and no exit interviews when you leave that should tell everyone they don't really care about what's happening. Sentry lets numerical targets to monopolize goals’ setting when they should actually be enhancing an Account Managers skills. The number of quotes is somehow more important than actual number of sales? They will tell you it's a number game when it is actually relationships that sells products. This incentivizes the wrong behaviors. Don’t think you can find a company with more micromanagement they want to know what you are doing every hour of every day. The territories are very unfair unless you happen to have a large territory because you could have 120 leads or 1200 leads the goals are the same for everyone. No one in sales wants to hear no from a sale, yet management is right there to tell you what you did wrong as an Account Manager it all falls on your shoulders no matter the circumstances. I had a manager on a call with the entire sales team telling everyone that it was all my fault I didn’t win the account not even mentioning that we were $30k higher than the competition. It says a lot about how they make you feel. The mangers I had it was all about them, not about helping you succeed. No real marketing strategy just told to make 100 calls and emails and someone will say yes? That is not a strategy that is hope. Sentry is all about Sentry, I felt like a used car salesmen all Sentry cares about is the bottom line and what they sell.

on call sucks so bad, more flexible work from home schedule would be nice
