Pros

The benefits at this company are really great and the salary stacked up to be competitive with others in the industry. They have committees for employees to be involved in which are great and they try to recognize employees.

Cons

Aside from the bad apples that you will get at every company, the leadership seems to be lost on what to do. They currently have an interim president right now that is not very involved in the business and who they have in the helm doesn't seem to know what he's doing - a lot of people are left with many questions and the company culture has shifted as to where it doesn't feel like the employees are very much supported.

Pros

I have been with Sentinel for 4 years and will be staying for a long time. Everyone is respectful, and works great together. The amount of teamwork that goes into solving issues is GREAT. The ongoing support and motivation to further my education has been outstanding, also, because of the career development plans we have in place I have experienced a lot of growth here. If you work hard and stay diligent about your work and department needs you will see a lot of growth and opportunities here.

Cons

Our company is growing, so it's busy and very fast paced.

Pros

Salary can be competitive depending on which department you are in.

Cons

Upon first being hired, Sentinel seemed to be a progressive company that cares about its employees but it quickly became apparent that it is not so. They try to use perks like free snacks, lunches, and wellness programs to hide the terrible company culture and incompetent leadership. After the former president left last year the okay culture got way worse. The lack of leadership trickles down to directors and managers. Employees are voiceless because there are no ears to listen. Some employees are offered flexibility whereas others are not, which is not fair or equitable. Many of my colleagues were unhappy. There were always complaints about how our management doesn’t really care about employees and it is obvious in the turnover rate. It is difficult to move up in the company even though upward mobility is something they promise.
