Pros

Not much from my point

Cons

You're working on a call center either doing early shift, late shift, or "oncall"/night shift. Your voice is meaningless, there's hundreds more engineers with the same position as you, standardization imposed from the above is the only rule. Aggressive M&A strategy, leading to a huge dissatisfaction among employees and customers alike. Lot's of time on "merging" rather than improving yourself or the service provided to customers. No self improvement/career progression other than full-fulling HR's checkboxes at the end of the quarter. Management uses employees as chess peons to move around as they wish. Heavily political. Discussions behind closed doors decide a lot about your future. Employees that have been with the company for so many years, suddenly start dropping out in huge numbers. The unlimited training promise is basically never realized, as you're overworked with customers tasks. Maybe one afternoon in a month, you will have some extra time to read about some new technology. Useless, you will never become expert without deep diving into it and spending serious time, useless, you will never use it, as the company wants everything standardized. Company wants to move forward while keeping everything they have for over 10 years. The old fashioned customers, the old fashion technologies.
