Cons: HR is expected to act as a bridge between employees and leadership, but currently it does not demonstrate the level of neutrality required for that role. In sensitive matters, there is a strong perception that HR sides with leadership, leaving employees without a fair platform to voice concerns. This lack of impartiality undermines trust and creates an environment where employees feel unsupported and exposed. When HR is not seen as independent, it stops being a support function altogether.
