Pros

The hourly pay rate is good. That's it.

Cons

Intense micromanagement is constant. The upper management knows that with the absurdly high productivity standard, employees must "cheat" or use their own time to complete work, anything to generate those revenues. I have seen residents browbeaten by directors to do therapy when they are ill and adamantly refusing therapy that day. I have been told "just talk with her" when a patient has refused therapy, and was asked to bill for that. There are minimal or no Medicare meetings to discuss cases and assist discharge planning, because that time is not billable. Employees are not valued for their contributions, and job satisfaction is nil. You never hear a word from upper management. Stress level is very high. This is not why I became a therapist.

Pros

Training is good for regular employees. Pay is great. Typical productivity standards for SNF, Assistants are expected to be at 90%. No company match for 401k, but PRN employees are allowed to put in so that is nice.

Cons

Manager training is lacking, especially if it's your first time as a DOR in SNF.
