Pros

There are some things that make Seer a remarkable place to work. Lots of really people-centric perks and an atmosphere that, I believe, genuinely *tries* to treat people well. Management takes employee surveys very seriously. Also, some of the nicest people I've worked with. Company culture encourages forming community with lots of online (and fun) chances to interact with coworkers.

Cons

One of the biggest problems is a personality monoculture; pretty much everyone there falls into a similar working style, so some of the accolades start to seem a bit like a popularity contest after a while. Also, because people are so nice, I think that there are several hard conversations that simply aren't happening. As a result, communications gets a little jumbled and initiatives get rolled out with insufficient forethought.

Pros

Seer is made for a very specific type of person: Smart, caring, organized, and collaborative. If you fit here, you REALLY fit. I will admit, the negative reviews had me a bit apprehensive, but I cannot emphasize this enough: You don’t know you’ll like or dislike something unless you give it a chance. And, you should give Seer a chance. You might just learn something incredible. Because of this, I’m over the moon I chose Seer. - exceptional benefits / pay / bonus structure connected to incentivized engagement - brilliant people who care and want to help - unlimited PTO that you’re encouraged to use - Office politics and all that other stuff is not tolerated; the company has some of the best culture I’ve been a part of in a long time - the work can be difficult, but only for short bursts, most of the time it is (75% of the month) straightforward work and innovation. One week will be hectic and then it’s smooth sailing. A very good balance. I used to be overworked every single day. Not here. Managers are here to support you. First company I’ve been at in over a decade where this is the case.

Cons

None at this time! I would say the first 90 days is a learning curve, then it gets exponentially easier. And, everyone answers your questions in the blink of an eye.
