Pros

The Pros: - Smart, interesting people work here that care about their colleagues - Challenging and rewarding work. You'll feel like you're making an impact here - Beautiful, brand new office. A fantastic place to work - Some truly great benefits, including unlimited vacation. I don't think my boss has ever not approved a vacation request - You can make an impact/work to improve almost anything internal that you can make a business case for. If you have a good idea, you'll have the opportunity to pitch it to the head of your department/CEO and work on it - Extremely accessible and kind Leadership Team - Collaborative environment where teamwork is encouraged - I've never experienced micro management and I think you'd be hard pressesd to find it - Diverse book of clients, many large brands with interesting challenges - As long as you're organized/driving results, great work/life balance - Fantastic "culture" - I feel appreciated as an employee and I generally enjoying coming into work - Opportunities for growth, but you're responsible for it (no one will hold your hand and offer you a promotion without you proving that you deserve it) - TONS of transparency here from the top down - Seer literally invests in their employee's growth. Employees have a professional development budget for trainings, conferences, etc.

Cons

The Cons: - Seer seems to reward "go getters" and those who take initiative. If you're someone who is just ok with doing what's asked and not going above and beyond/taking initiative, it may be hard for you to progress in your career here. If you're someone who doesn't like to take credit for their good work publically/take risks, it may be hard for your to progress in your career here. - As Seer grows, more and more processes are being introduced. This isn't necessarily a con, but can be difficult to adjust to in the short term

Thank you for leaving this feedback. I think its human nature to want to skim over the good and address the bad, as we're all looking for that feedback that helps us improve right? I'm going to try to break that mold this time :) Even though as you know I'm all kinds of hard on myself. The People: You know it's rewarding to see that people care about each other here, its one of the things that I am most proud of. Yes we can grow and yes we can win awards, but being here you feel things and see things daily, and when I see how people treat one another, I'm always MORE and MORE proud. The Work: You know, we aren't Uber, we aren't SpaceX, so that whole Rah Rah, we're changing the world thing ain't happening here, and that is something that I think companies need to recognize, so getting this note is especially rewarding, as I hope Seer can find a way to make the work we do rewarding, but we aren't saving the manatees here, so I struggle with helping articulate the meaning, maybe you can help me :) The Perks/Culture: We invest a LOT of time and effort here, all of us do, so its great to see that it matters, you'd be surprised, but even execs need to hear that this is worth doing. The Cons: Yeah I can see your point here, this is why we pitched BRAG sessions a while ago (still can't get to it yet as I've been running marketing, sales, and now SEO, but we will get there), and in last weeks KYC Adam M's question was an attempt to make it easier for people to talk about their impact. That's why people need to be a bit more vocal, but its on us to make it a bit easier for people to share wins. Sharing wins isn't just about a person bragging, its about educating others and helping other people to be better as well, so maybe if we look at wins through that frame - it's not just about the person, it about helping others to get better, maybe we can help more people to share wins. You know me, I hate process, so I'm with ya, but I also come to realize that process is how we scale, we can not deny that we're big now, I hope process slows us down only in the short term, but in the long term helps us to know where to go w/ more confidence. Thank you for taking the time.

Pros

Seer is made for a very specific type of person: Smart, caring, organized, and collaborative. If you fit here, you REALLY fit. I will admit, the negative reviews had me a bit apprehensive, but I cannot emphasize this enough: You don’t know you’ll like or dislike something unless you give it a chance. And, you should give Seer a chance. You might just learn something incredible. Because of this, I’m over the moon I chose Seer. - exceptional benefits / pay / bonus structure connected to incentivized engagement - brilliant people who care and want to help - unlimited PTO that you’re encouraged to use - Office politics and all that other stuff is not tolerated; the company has some of the best culture I’ve been a part of in a long time - the work can be difficult, but only for short bursts, most of the time it is (75% of the month) straightforward work and innovation. One week will be hectic and then it’s smooth sailing. A very good balance. I used to be overworked every single day. Not here. Managers are here to support you. First company I’ve been at in over a decade where this is the case.

Cons

None at this time! I would say the first 90 days is a learning curve, then it gets exponentially easier. And, everyone answers your questions in the blink of an eye.
