Pros

Was hired at a great salary Great employees, great benefits Ample training

Cons

I felt like I was being watched on virtual office "qube" and had to appear online at all times, this was difficult when working east coast hours with a predominately west coast office. I was hired full-time with great benefits, including ample money to purchase office equipment, and a sign-on bonus, but I was laid off after a few months. Senior Leadership had plans to bulk up staff ahead of projected growth, but after that growth did not materialize in the first half of the year there was staff reduction. I know these things happen, but I don't think senior leadership planned appropriately for this. Why hire 60 people and lay them off within months, especially when sales were down, not sure why this affected so many other departments.

This year we found ourselves – like many tech companies – needing to adapt to new market priorities by reducing our team size. As we discussed with the team at the time, the change in the overall startup / venture capital environment was the primary driver of that shift. It was difficult to let some of our valued team members go as part of a reduction in force. Our goal was to do so with compassion, support and respect for the dignity of each individual who was impacted. With our diverse team members located coast-to-coast in North America as well as in 21 countries around the world, we designed our Qube virtual workspace to help us feel more connected and collaborative. We are truly saddened to hear that you felt like you were being watched as that has never been our intent or practice. We believe that the future is bright despite the challenges of 2022 and we will continue to strive to be one of the best places to work in the software industry.

Pros

One of the few software companies genuinely transforming industrial operations rather than just talking about digital transformation. Strong product, great company culture and a place where capable people can really impact in a tangible way. You work alongside highly capable colleagues who are genuinely nice, collaborative, pragmatic, and focused on solving real customer problems. Strong leadership, the company is well managed and is performing exceptionally well.

Cons

Fast growing company, with the natural growing pains of an organization that is not small anymore, but not yet very big. Need to be able to wear multiple hats and take ownership of situations, not necessarily for everybody.

Pros

Because we are a remote-first company, we can attract top talent from anywhere in the world. That means I get to work with exceptional teammates, and keep my dogs as my daily “coworkers” as well. We are growing rapidly, so there is no shortage of meaningful, high-impact work. Every team member contributes directly to the core mission, and we continue to invest in building new, future-focused products.

Cons

One con of working at Seeq is that we don’t often get to have casual coffee or lunch breaks together, so we can miss out on some of the day-to-day, in-person relationship building. However, with the collaborative tools we use daily to stay connected, plus intentional time spent together in person, I actually feel more connected to my coworkers than ever.
