Pros
Full time schedules offered, guaranteed paycheck every 2weeks, depending on site you can meet some really cool people, work many different positions in security from vehicle gate, vehicle patrol, foot patrol, rover, command center, lobby, etc. There is opportunity to become a supervisor, or work your way up to management level. Many different schedules offered from day, swing, and grave.
Cons
Limted growth. It does not take long to learn about a position and after learning you pretty much just do the same thing everyday 5x a week 365 with no advancement/growth or learning new skills. You may get a desk job where you are chained to your desk the entire shift only allowed to leave on designated breaks. You can be starring at a computer screen for hours, staring at a wall for hours... its extremely boring. Management is not very great, HR isnt either. People get away with a lot of things, favoritism is played a lot. Its a very unfilling job, your kinda a number/warm body to fill an empty seat. The uniforms get annoying after awhile. I left after 5years because I got tired of standing in one place. Pay is topped out and you can stay for however long you want and never get a raise.
