Pros

Backing of large tech hosting company Claranet and a strong client portfolio grants a great degree of job security - crucial in these turbulent times. Have continued to grow, even through the Coronavirus pandemic. Great culture grown both organically in the business unit as well as developed and encouraged by parent company and management. Regular team building events, employee wellbeing webinars, and many resources for professional and personal development help to support and develop employees. Clearly defined management team with direct and regular support from line management, but other avenues of escalation on offer if needed. Excellent company benefits including private health care, dental care, up to 5% pension contribution match, various shopping discounts, mental health support (as well as access to counselling).

Cons

Sometimes slow to respond to suggestions or implement changes that could support operations. Communication from management to the consultancy team could be improved as often discussions happen, information isn't relayed, and efforts and duplicated.

Pros

After graduating from uni, I worked at Sec-1 for just under 3 years and over that time the amount I learned grew exponentially. Once operational testers hold a lot of influence with end-clients and are given a lot of freedom in the quality of the service they deliver. Sec-1's travel policy was very diplomatic and travel mainly was expected to be done during working hours. Testers are managed minimally and the work from home policy is fairly flexible

Cons

Weak indicators are given to how you are performing as an employee. There is no transparency to the organisation's company strategy and testers have very little steer internally. ...IT Healthchecks but thats just them not the employer.
