Pros

When I started it was still a relevant paper, the Editor-in-Chief is amazing given how many things have been taken from him: staff, tools, pages, etc.

Cons

The parent company cuts EVERY corner it can to pay you less, to make whatever you're doing cheaper, and the tools you need to success get slashed and they work with horrifically old systems. When I left it was a VERY boring working environment.

Awesome environment, intelligent and motivating people, deadline-driven work flow.

Cons

Not enough funding to really thrive as the company they should be.

Pros

Lots of free tickets to events and shows around town. Lots of events to be proud of. Management funny, fun to be around. Always understand personal emergencies, give you time off without pressure. You can make a lot of money if you're there for a long time. Kenny Stocker / Wendy Gelgien / Upper management were competent, great to work for.

Cons

Lots of cold calling. Commission payments not as high as other companies in the same industry. Salary base is a little low. Promotions, bonuses not awarded fairly at times. Department relationships are not optimal (departments seem like strangers)
