Pros

I guess a pro is the job is fully remote

Cons

There is no training period here. You do "tasks" for other consultants as your training basically. This will typically last less than 2 weeks before you start getting clients. Once you start getting clients, you are on your own. If you have a question about any task at that point, they will refer you to some training manual. You also will be given some extremely difficult clients with unrealistic expectations. If those unrealistic expectations aren't met, they will fire you with no warning. Get ready to work insane hours just to be caught up with overdue. Be prepared to get yelled at when you don't finish work on time. For context, you may get assigned a client that requires 80 hours of work A WEEK, and they will expect those 80 hours to be done end of the week, even if you have to work all night they don't care. Don't waste your time working here there are many other SEO jobs out there that have a better culture, support, and benefits.

Pros

I was fortunate enough to work at SearchLab. John Barrett was a great SEO Team Lead. I recall having a problem with one of my clients, but he assured me it was part of the process and encouraged me to learn which gave the motivation to work harder on the clients I had control of. The team was helpful and leadership is heading in the right direction with Sean and Andrew. The workload is manageable as long as you organize well. If you fall behind team members are willing to help. I had no problem getting PTO when it was needed as long as my work was finished ahead of time. I loved the transparency from the company and the bonuses offered despite my short time at SearchLab. You will work with clients and also work on the technical side, but your team lead will help guide the meetings and guide you on reporting. They provide a lot of opportunities for growth and encourage you to learn. I wish I could have stayed longer with SearchLab, but I received an offer from another company that was hard to say no to. SearchLab was understanding and I left on great terms. I wish them nothing but the best and hope they keep growing!

Cons

No real cons besides updating training practices which they are heading towards.
