Pros

Maybe SOME nice colleagues? But mostly are nosy and BUSYBODY.

Cons

1. Bad management- managers / team leads are super useless. Most managers have been in the company for more than 10 years, and depend mostly on YOUNGER consultants for sales. Pressurise fresh grads for 60K sales per quarter and gaslight them any chance they get. (FYI, most managers in SearchAsia are leading nobody in their teams because most people have left the company!) 0 leadership skills and only know how to gaslight people. 2. Racist CEO - Extremely racist CEO who talks about skin colour any chance he gets. Also talks down to the younger people in the company (and also to interns). Calls his employees “liabilities” during meetings. Behaves like a dictator 3. Pay cut system! - Never cross 3x that month? Get ready for a pay cut! Pay cut is 20% btw. NON NEGOTIABLE. 4. Promised incentives but NO INCENTIVES DELIVERED if target is not achieved. Target in order to get a single cent of incentive is 9x per quarter. Preaches about team incentives but if team is in the red, incentives will automatically be HALved even if you did well that quarter! 5. Busybodies all around - managers are super nosy. Like to eavesdrop and report everything to CEO. 6. REVIEWS ON GLASSDOOR ARE FAKED BY INTERNAL HRs. - do not believe a single 5 star review on this platform! All 4-5 star reviews are done by HRs to fake the 3.7/5 stars :) if not it will be only 2/5 stars on Glassdoor max 7. Embraces racism and sexism in the company - company only hires Chinese and PRETTY CHINESE GIRLS. If you are not pretty and came for interviews, get ready for the interviewer to talk smack to everyone in SearchAsia about your appearance after you left! 8. No proper internal HR - HR manager is actually the CEO’s daughter in law! And CEO’S son also works in the company. This means no proper HR because ANY negative feedback will be ignored. 9. Dirty office - bad air quality and office is SUPER DUSTY. Many people fall sick here. 10. No employee benefits - 12 days annual leave with no other benefits. 11. Anyone who leaves the company is seen as a TRAITOR - no one ever leaves here on a good note!

Hi, We would like to clarify on the point made that our Associate Consultants are performing "free labor" as suggested in the review. This is a frivolous claim because firstly, our Associate Consultants are paid on per hour basis and the company makes full Employer’s CPF contributions according to the prevailing CPF Act and all other applicable and mandatory statutory contributions. Secondly, it is also the company's practice to brief all potential candidates on the responsibilities of the Associate Consultant during the interview prior to starting work. Thirdly, a Mentor (usually a Senior Consultant in the company) is then assigned to each Associate Consultant to teach them the ropes of the business. We acknowledge the fact that different individuals will have different learning capacities and we endeavour to do our best to equip our consultants with soft skills necessary to manoeuvre on the job.
