Unfortunately, my time here has been a strange and frustrating experience. From the constant micromanaging, to the unreal expectations.. nothing has been employee friendly. Our incentives were taken away and our path to bonuses and more money were taken away with no explanation, yet they claim to be an employee first company. They gave us one month of summer Fridays in August and are using that as “proof” that they want what’s best for their employees. Tenured reps are let go on a whim and without warning and cite “bad attitude” as the reason for termination. Reps are given a list of poor and inaccurate leads and are trained to bully prospects into taking meetings even if they aren’t totally qualified. There is an inner circle of reps that use shady methods to create more “opportunities” and then are praised for it. Unfortunately, upper management puts emphasis on the wrong things and it promotes a toxic environment where success is solely based off of your “vibes.” There is a daily meeting where 30 minutes are spent talking about “good vibes and having fun.” Instead of actually helping struggling reps, they force an unclear ultimatum on them. I have seen multiple hard working, well liked and tenured reps be let go for “performance” reasons.. but it’s really because of the churn and burn cycle they use to save money. The only way to succeed at Seamless is to suck up and constantly push this stereotypical sales persona of fake cheeriness and harassment until the prospect gives up. The director of sales can be quoted as saying “no doesn’t mean no, it just means not yet.” Not only is it bad business, it’s also not helping reps develop any actual skills.
