Pros
There is an awesome work life balance - no late nights and no Sunday working! This company only recruits people who they think are generally nice which makes a huge difference to the working day - people who want to work together towards a shared goal and support each other whilst helping lots of lovely people to hear and see better. There is an open supportive culture and there are a huge number of team members who have been with the company for years and years and years, as it feels like a family. There is also generous sick pay which is unusual for an Optical retail company and certainly not what we had when I worked for Specsavers which I did for nearly 20 years before crossing into the light!
Cons
We do work in small teams in branches and need to support each other. If close team bonds are not your thing, if you are a loner or if you really don't care about the people that you work with then this company will not be for you!
