Pros
Worked with many students, trained you even if you had no experience but needed background in health care, was flexible to an extent (basically asked what days I wanted to work), my favorite part was working with MD’s or PA’s closely and the fact that I got so much knowledge about patient - provider encounters plus medical history and even treatments!
Cons
Typical 8 hour shifts, required at least 24 hours a week or something like that. They matched me with my availability and I was able to request any time off and get it approved. The only con was that I scribing all day and would feel tired by the end of the day… so it was hard to come back and do lots of school work. I feel like they try to pay students as low as possible and the work/pay ended up not being worth the commute.
