Pros
I came into a high functioning team and was given the opportunity by my VP to make changes, develop my people, add systems and to address gaps and deficiencies. I find the opportunity to fix or define process improvements abounds. Scotts is determined to improve so while roadblocks/old attitudes do exist there is a desire to move forward , recognize shortcomings and address them.
Cons
Strategic Workforce Planning is not in place at Scotts yet and it shows, managing to a budget is not a strength and helps to generate "Growth" which is a euphemism for we cut costs here to fuel expansion there. Senior management is mercurial.
