The only real upside was learning how to cope with chaos and inconsistent expectations.

Management was disorganized, inconsistent, and poor at following through. Workloads were routinely dumped on reliable staff without any meaningful recognition or reward. Accountability was weak, so poor performance seemed to have no consequences. Career progression felt blocked, with little evidence of real development or support. Employee benefits were underwhelming and did not compensate for the pressure or workload.

Pros of working here are gradually getting stripped away.

Force staff to sit through “ town halls” where upper management will stand on stage and pat each other on the back. Self indulgent rubbish. Place is rife with injustice. Directors get boxes, sneak people into concerts via the side door. Yet all workers live in fear of the people team. In summary the SEC is the embodiment of toxic positivity. Avoid working here at all costs.
