Pros
They offer a competitive salary for this area. This is a desk job, so you will spend 8 hours at the desk on the phone, making and receiving phone calls. Fast - paced, so you are busy the entire time. The hours are 8 to 5, Monday through Friday and some Saturdays. Good place to work if want to get a foot in the door in the transportation industry.
Cons
Management is not very engaged with employees unless it's something they are unhappy about (usually addressed through emails.) Most of the calls you make end up with a "No" or a hang up, so you have to be very persistent. The job is cut-throat, as many of the LC's are working to book the same loads. Also, your job never really seems secure. Like i said, it will get your foot in the door, but not many have made it a lifelong career path.
