Pros
Stock in the company, free lunch once a month, most of the fellow employees owners truly believe we are family and are very passionate about the company.
Cons
The company was great to work for up to 5 years ago. Before they paid low hourly wages and horrible hours, as is the case today. The difference is your hard work back then directly related to big bonuses and benefit increases. Today, you work harder and your bonuses are less than half of before. Along with the current economy, some of the problems stem from non qualified personell in middle management that doesn't really have control of their respective area. These individuals are "placed" in these positions to pass down goals to the floor from upper management. Some of these goals may require additional equipment or personell, but that is not an option. That is why some hourly employees work over 70 hours a week. There is poor planning in scheduling, communication at all levels of the business, and a total disregard of the "employee owners" (unlike previous years). There is very few opportunities for floor workers to move up in their careers. It's about who likes you on how you get treated, not hard work.
