Pros

While embarking on a career shift to data science/analytics from the revenue generating side of things (and having just moved to Austin), I found myself in flurry of interviews and to be frank, uncertainty. However, having found out about Scorability on LinkedIn, it really stood out with the mission to revolutionize the collegiate recruiting space, and I wanted to see what they were about as I love sports. (And FYI for those reading, I did not get paid for this review, it’s genuine!). From the moment I encountered their recruiter, Kelsey, it was evident that this was a place was not like other companies. Kelsey walked me through expectations and shared kindness and “leaving ego at the door” were core aspects of Scorability. She also was forthcoming that this was a startup, but the founders of the company have had great success with other startups in the past. I was surprised that the founders even secured $11 million in funding from investors to ensure Scorability is grounded (and the lights will stay on of course). I definitely wanted in. I went through the standard virtual interview and then found myself at the in-person stage. It’s cheesy but stepping into the office for the first time just felt right. I got there early and spoke with Catherine from Customer Success, of whom is warm and genuine. Also, the office itself has a cozy ambiance and an amazing view of Zilker Park. Then I spoke with CEO Brian Cruver and Brett Andrew, Head of Rev Ops/Sales & Marketing. I won’t go into the specifics of how Brian and Brett plan to make Scorability make waves, but it is clear they know what they are doing (and they are just really kind people). Fast-forward, I got the job (thank goodness) and I am over the moon. It’s a true 9-5 in terms of schedule. I wake up and go to work, but it doesn’t feel like work—I can feel the worth of what I do day-to-day, and I love it. Scorability harbors a fun environment. With in-office days from Monday to Thursday filled with team lunches and theme parties (the good kind, not just pizza party all the time vibe), it’s quite the crew. Also, there’s a fully stocked kitchen with 50 different types of fizzy water, snacks, and lunch food. My teammates also have diverse interests and lives outside of work. It’s a gamechanger culture (oh and Scorability is remote Fridays!). In terms, of compensation, I am compensated well and can take care of myself with great healthcare and time off. And if you get sick, you stay home and focus on getting better instead of having to come in “just to come in” (if that makes sense). Also, from leadership to engineers, there's a collective feel of support and encouragement. My team lead has given me a lot of tips and my leaders have told me from the start that I will grow along with the company. They let me “get stuff done” without micromanaging, but if I do need help, they are there. Basically, I have autonomy and feel good in a positive space. Bottom line, Scorability is a great place to work and although I don’t have a crystal ball, I aim to be here for the long-haul.

Pros

Every project, every campaign, every brainstorming session – it's all geared towards making a real impact in the recruiting experience for college athletics. Everyone has a reason to be here, and a true passion to see this project through. It’s so refreshing to be a part of something bigger than ourselves and making a difference in this industry, and being a part of it so early on. What truly sets Scorability apart to me, is the unparalleled team environment. The leadership team goes above and beyond to foster an environment where every voice is heard and every idea is valued, regardless of seniority or title. I've worked in various companies throughout my career, but I can honestly say that the camaraderie and support I've experienced here, in just a few months, are unmatched. Whether it's collaborating on a project, weekly lunches with everyone, brainstorming ideas, or celebrating each other's successes, the sense of teamwork and solidarity is such a refreshing feeling. The people here are incredibly talented and passionate about their work, and they're also genuinely kind, supportive, and down-to-earth individuals. There's a real sense of mutual respect and admiration among team members, which creates a positive and uplifting atmosphere every day.

Cons

I have no cons for working here! I have enjoyed every minute.

I have been with the company for 6 months and can't say enough great things about working here. Leadership is trustworthy, transparent, and talented AF.
