Pros

Generally positive attitudes from legacy Scitor employees.

Cons

I didn't apply at Scitor. My business unit was sold to Scitor by my existing employer at the time. Scitor senior management cut salaries across the board for employees involved in the buy-out and smiled the whole time. Company culture comes off like a cult run by used car sales people. It is a small SETA company with very little room for advancement. They use a "Value Based Bonus" (VBB) program to get away with paying lower-than-industry-standard salaries. The VBB saves the company money on employee benefits. Be advised, if you leave the company before month's end (when VBB's are paid out) you will not receive any of your VBB. HR claims it is policy but has been unable to produce documentation of said policy. I believe benefits were above the industry standard for legacy Scitor employees but will be at the low end of industry standards with the completion of integration into SAIC. Scitor had a reputation of dishonesty within the government sector in the past and I don't see them improving that legacy as they become part of SAIC.

Pros

None, you are just another beltway bandit company now.

Cons

In my exit interview, I was told me that Scitor was really just a place for military and government retirees. REALLY WISH I HAD KNOWN THAT BEFORE I STARTED! Nothing has really changed except that now it's worse under SAIC. Any benefits that Scitor had are completely gone now. I will never understand in my entire life why companies buy a profitable company and the completely change everything and then wonder why 5 years down the road it wasn't as profitable of a move they thought it would be.
