Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback, and we’re very sorry that your experience at Scitent wasn’t positive. Your comments to our leadership team are disappointing to hear. We are working to implement initiatives for capturing and evaluating feedback with management and continuing to search for the best way to allow for growth while moving the company forward. Our new VP of Operations has a background in engineering and has led a successful software analytics company. One of his key areas of focus is Product Management. To that end, we have implemented a product management tool that collects ideas from our whole team and maps specific efforts to strategic goals and objectives. The consistent use of this tool increases both internal accountability and the quality of our products. We have also implemented a Peer Advocacy Group to reinvigorate communication and trust between the management and the employees; this group helps capture and prioritize ideas or initiatives that we should start, stop, or keep. The group is made up of employees only and has been a great way for all of us to become aware of challenges and opportunities for improvement in all aspects of our business; it’s also been a great way to highlight the things we’re doing well. We appreciate your feedback. If you would like the opportunity to speak further with our CEO to address these concerns, please send us an email at HR@scitent.com. We will forward your email, and she will reach out to you directly.

Pros

I have had the distinct privilege to work for Scitent for 9 years. We grew from single digits to double digits over that time which provided me with opportunities to experience the growth of a company. Scitent provides you the autonomy to create your own career path and for those willing to take advantage of that, it offers wonderful career building moments. One of Scitent’s positive attributes is its people. I always marveled at how past employees would come to visit or stay in touch after leaving. I valued the friendships that were created there and took pride in the work completed as a team. I went through many challenging life changing events during my tenure at Scitent and was overwhelmed by the support I received from leadership and fellow team members. The ability to have a flexible schedule or work remote, as long as work was completed, was truly a job perk. Scitent is a company with a true entrepreneurial spirit willing to invest in projects and new ideas. It embraces a startup mentality though it has over 20 years of experience. If an organization is looking for a partner to run hard and fast, Scitent should be on your list to contact. If an individual is looking for a dynamic work environment and the opportunity to help develop businesses in the eLearning space, Scitent would be a great choice.

Cons

Prioritization is always challenging for any organization. With that said, Scitent is aware and making positive intentional steps towards this. Along the lines of prioritization, I would like to see Scitent make sure that they schedule company wide initiatives along with the everyday work. I believe that leveraging the internal workforce to not only deliver solution for customers, but to also work on internal processes and improvements builds a strong culture, instills trust and breeds an engaged workforce.
