Pros

I've been around long enough to have seen this place at its worst, so trust me when I say things actually feel different now.. New leadership at both the exec and CS levels has made a real difference. There's a clarity and transparency now that didn't exist before. Cross-functional alignment has improved significantly too. CS no longer feels like an island. There's more collaboration with Product and Sales, and you can see it in how customer feedback actually gets heard and actioned. The culture on my team specifically has gotten better with less noise and more meaningful conversations. We no longer have to be afraid to speak up. Product is moving in a direction that's easier to stand behind too which helps. We're making significant improvements every day and the future roadmap is really exciting. We actually know what we're building, who we're building it for, and where we win. When you are part of a really small company it's difficult to see what good really looks like. It's been eye opening in a positive way, to see, and be part of the change.

Cons

Still so much to do. Feels like we're building the plane while flying it in some areas. But the difference is it actually feels like we're getting somewhere now (and know where we're headed).

Pros

I’m proud to work on products that make a meaningful impact for school districts. The environment is grounded (drama-free) supportive, and realistic, which makes it easy to focus on doing great work. I feel genuinely supported in my role and confident that my manager and leadership team stand behind me. I’m excited not only about the work I do, but also about the people I have the opportunity to work with every day.

Cons

While working with school districts is super rewarding, their reliance on state budgets can occasionally lead to shifting priorities and long decision timelines on contracts.

Pros

This used to be an amazing place to work, but I can say the only "pros" about being here now are a few teammates and the unmetered PTO policy, which I'm sure will change like everything else has.

Cons

- Leadership appears more focused on maintaining a positive narrative "optics" than addressing underlying issues - both with customers and employees - There have been instances where key team members exited under unclear circumstances, with departures framed as “mutual” and there is no internal transparency. - Communication around staffing changes can feel tightly controlled, leaving teams with more questions than answers. - Reported promises around raises or promotions don’t always materialize, which can impact trust and morale. - Employees may feel undervalued during high-effort periods, especially when expectations increase without corresponding compensation adjustments. - Retention of experienced team members has been a concern, particularly when institutional knowledge is lost without clear transition plans. - Leadership prioritizes customer outcomes over everything, mostly at the perceived expense of employee experience and recognition. - Overall transparency from management can be inconsistent, which may lead to uncertainty about long-term direction.
