      Good DM ok Freightliner ok home time dedicated is the way to go

      Cons

      there was not much money with over the road. i lived 180 miles from the terminal and had to drive my personal car from dallas to my home every home time

      Pros

      Dedicated local account, driver leaders are nice, equipment is decent.

      Cons

      $12/hr on duty, not driving pay. That’s ridiculous and includes everything except driving. Work can be inconsistent at times, hours can be long, no holiday or mileage bonus pay for a long time after hire, benefits are expensive. Schneider won’t allow drivers to use Bluetooth or any other hands-free device, INCLUDING HEARING AIDS, to receive calls while driving. This makes having a life outside of work and scheduling appointments almost impossible.
