Pros
home time is better than most companies I know of.I can work 11-13 days on with 3-4 days off. They have a lot of yards and customers. They maintain their trucks for the most part. They have a yard near where I live in reserve LA.They encourage you to call in if you need to.Some loads require you to call in before pick up.They are a good company to start a trucking career with to get experience.
Cons
Too many drivers to get consistent good loads of 400+ miles. They give you loads of 400+ miles ;but they give you just as many short loads of 100 to 300 miles that require a live load and unload and it eats up your clock.THEIR TRAILERS ARE VERY PROBLEMATIC I DONT KNOW HOW MANY TIMES I HAVE GOTTEN A TRAILER AND THE TANDEMS WOULDNT SLIDE.They also have a fair amount of miscommunication between the planners and the driver mgrs.My biggest complaint about Schneider was a lack of miles due to being assigned too many short loads that ate up too much of my drive time being loaded and unloaded.
