      Pros

      It's a job. A place to get experience other companies require.

      Cons

      I give them 4 weeks to make sure there are no excuses why I don't get enough work and I still don't get enough work. Often I'm sitting or have a load that is scheduled for delivery two days after a modest ETA. Even worse I'm regional Houston but am in Gary Indiana doing 200 mile loads. I feel they are begging me to leave. I'll oblige.

      Pros

      Dedicated local account, driver leaders are nice, equipment is decent.

      Cons

      $12/hr on duty, not driving pay. That’s ridiculous and includes everything except driving. Work can be inconsistent at times, hours can be long, no holiday or mileage bonus pay for a long time after hire, benefits are expensive. Schneider won’t allow drivers to use Bluetooth or any other hands-free device, INCLUDING HEARING AIDS, to receive calls while driving. This makes having a life outside of work and scheduling appointments almost impossible.
