Pros
Scape's biggest sell is the company's 'feel'. Somehow they've legitimately managed to build a place that's amazing to work: 1. every single person on the team is simultaneously kick-ass at what they do, qualified to prove it and super chilled/down-to-earth 2. There's an incredible license to learn there. The whole mission is insanely ambitious so its pretty much impossible to not sharpen your skills. See (1) above for the environment you'll do that in 3. Flexibility & autonomy. Scape's the first place I've actually seen hire top performers and then treat them like that. I'd previously decided I was never going to work for someone else again, but I'm pretty glad I made an exception :) 4. Personalized Scape Cups - ask for the BIG one ;) 5. Pretty diverse. There's female leadership at high levels. Loads of nationalities (we had a pretty full globe with tacks in it when I left) - (Chinese/American/West&EastEuropean (various)/Caribbean/South African etc) 6. Everyone grabs lunch together. Sounds small but some of my best times at Scape was at the lunch table (when it was big enough :D) Other perks: Pretty competitive pay, its tech, in London, in Shoreditch. Hard to go wrong. Work from home: you can, but most people don't, there's a lot of cross-departmental/team work so facetime usually made sense for me
Cons
Legitimately hard to think of. I guess this isn't the company for you if you don't fit the work or culture profile. work: you're going to carry a lot of responsibility no matter where you go in. If you're looking for a chilled working experience you will be disappointed Culture: There's a bias towards colleague interaction, team work, hanging out etc. I think if you really, really wanted to be left alone (all/most of the time). Scape wouldn't be a good fit.
