Pros

Whoever wrote the comment that panhandling is better and that the executives are unapproachable must not work on the operations team. Our operations leadership is the best I’ve ever worked with in terms of work ethic, responding to employees and caring about people while protecting the business that pays for all our salaries. I have watched plant managers and leaders in our distilleries work selflessly to help everyone during these challenging times. The COVID-19 situation actually shows how they have been able to maintain a safe workplace for us while maintaining jobs when there are 17 million unemployment claims and counting. We are also making hand sanitizer for our communities which has really inspired our teams. Any executive you email will directly email you back. This isn’t the kind of company where the executives are unapproachable so that comment makes zero sense. The CEO emails updates about the business to everyone. It’s like I’ve never seen at any other company with executive responses which is why I’m responding to this person as the comment is so far off base from what reality is. I don’t know what system is so oppressive or set up to avoid lawsuits either so that is a mystery comment as well. If you don’t like it, you have the choice everyday not to work here. I’m sure there are more grateful people in the 17 million unemployed we could have on our team.

Cons

No place to hide at Sazerac. You will work hard but it is rewarding because everything you do is meaningful. Every decision matters.

Pros

I really enjoy the brands and the industry as a whole. I take a lot of pride in working hard, solving problems for customers, and closing sales. Sazerac brings a lot to the table too—competitive pricing, a strong product lineup, and every now and then we even get some pretty cool POS to work with.

Cons

Our distributor can’t seem to carry enough of our stuff, so we’re constantly out of stock on anything new or anything people actually want. It’s a mess. Be ready to grind 40 hours a week in accounts, then somehow cram in trainings, reports, posts, pre-planning, organizing POS…basically all the other crap on your “free time.” And don’t forget—you better account for every singe minute of your day. Got a gap between calls because you had to a crap or grab food? Yeah, you might want to log that too, because they’re gonna want to know exactly what you were doing with their time.
