Pros
The discount on merchandise is the only thing. Except you need to wait 48 hours until an item has been on the floor to get that discount otherwise your paying full price (so I guess that can be a con as well)
Cons
The turnover rate here is so high it's just plain ridiculous. It felt like almost everyone hated working here, only working through it because it was a job. There was some people who I worked with who were great and very pleasant to be with but there were others who kissed up to managers and supervisors just to get farther. Kissing up seemed to be the only way to advance here. Aside from at least 1 person I can think of, most who got put in a lead or supervisory role didn't deserve it in my opinion. There was a handful of people I can think of who do deserve it and will never get it because of the way they promote, it's just plain wrong. The break room was absolutely disgusting. There was no training plan whatsoever. For the overwhelming amount of work they asked of us the pay was too low and the hours sporadic and ridiculous. Your workers deserve some form of benefits. I'm also amazed they haven't been shutdown yet for violating fire code. The backroom is WAY too small for the work they expect out of those working back there. It felt like a total sweat shop atmosphere. Most of the time it was hard to walk in the back without bumping into boxes, pallets, carts, bins or donated goods. I've never worked for a more condescending and stressful company like Savers. They will tell you to do something one way then change it up and say your doing it all wrong. Make up your minds. And the pricing is just ridiculous. Pricing an item at or more then face value. Do they even remember these items are all donated?
