Pros
Turnover rate is really low with the sorters, they seemed extremely uneasy to fire anyone because they had been there from the beginning and were fast at their jobs. Easy job, mindless and you can chat with co-workers easily while doing your work. Team meetings seemed casual, people could speak their mind. If there was no drama between you and somebody, it was easy to talk to them.
Cons
There was no communication in potential wage increases, either on work performance or time there. The constant drama between middle-aged women coworkers, which continued on with no write-ups, was ridiculous. We marked everything up so much that we get for free, it's silly. Yes, it's a thrift store, but the profit they must make is ridiculous. I believe it's because it's in a "nicer" area. Had group meetings where we were "reprimanded" for not catching a high-end pair of jeans to mark up. No training on brands to know, we were supposed to take everything to supervisors to inspect if we didn't know.
