Pros

If you are returning to the workforce, or do not have experience in consulting or federal contracting, this may be your first opportunity to work in the industry. If this is your situation, make sure to plan your exit opportunity before accepting this position. Remote flexibility, but unclear policies and communication during early covid quarantine. Employees were not comfortable voicing concerns about health and safety with leadership who did not take CDC guidelines seriously.

Cons

Extremely high turnover of junior and senior staff. Difficult to find someone with over 2 years of tenure. Projects are not planned out well, and are often in crisis mode. Work-Life balance is seasonal. Very narrow core company capabilities. Difficult for this business to win work outside its current footprint. This is a small business whose 8(a) designation has expired, and there does not seem to be a clear path forward. Staff augmentation contractor. Not the worst, not the best. No bench. As soon as a contract ends, employees are laid off.

Pros

Very friendly, authentic, and principled folks at Savan. Teamwork is excellent and collaboration across teams is strong.

Cons

It's not Savan-specific, but being in government contracting just brings a level of uncertainty that's unavoidable.

Pros

Great work environment with a leadership team that truly cares for company employee wellbeing

Cons

Pay is not competitive to other sized companies in the industry and promotion cycles are generally slow and they expect too much from the employee
