Pros

Working with survivors, families, and students and being able to make a real difference in their lives. Benefits package, PTO, personal accommodations, co-workers, and support from leadership. Allowed plenty of autonomy and encouragement to grow within or beyond the organization.

Cons

Nonprofits in general have a tough time competing with private organization wages. State and Federal grant cuts for all victim service organizations.
