Pros

Welcoming environment. People come up to you on your first day, and introduce themselves. They have some company outings such as a Christmas party, hiking during the spring and summer BBQ (all expenses paid).

Cons

Unrealistic expectations for interns. It was my first internship, and you are left to sink or swim. The expectations are ridiculous. They forget that we are still learning. Some of us do not even have our masters in architecture yet nor are we qualified. The higher ups do not teach you anything. You learn from other interns for help. Plus the pay is very low. 1,200 euros a month for a 40 hour work week. If you do the maths that's less than minimum wage. They are not lenient or understanding at all, and they are too harsh. They just expect you to know. There is no guidance. You are just told to get on with it if you ask for help, or use ChatGPT to solve your query. They are very cut throat, and if they are not happy with your performance after two months they will dismiss you, and claim some feeble excuse that there's 'no work'. You're an intern. You are there to learn, and make mistakes. You are still learning. They seem to forget that. They do not provide you with a mentor to guide or assist you. Do not employ interns if you're too busy to help or train them. This office is the worst of a corporate job. You're just a cog in the machine. It conforms to the worst stereotypes of working in an architecture firm. It's dog eat dog.
