The cutting work here is superb, I was so excited to work here and make friends and make my stamp in the hairdressing world learning from the best.
Cons
How much they talk to you about hierarchy in the company. The lack of compassion in so many staff members. You’re treated like you’re nothing until you prove yourself. Looking back now I was definitely bullied by a certain staff member she said told me she didn’t like my hair/what was I wearing when I was the only person in salon with a Sassoon bob that was cut by a Sassoon stylist and was coloured a perfect silver. She picked on me constantly making remarks about everything I did. It makes me so angry now when I look back that I just put up with it because everyone there told me that’s just “how it is here”. Salons look outdated also and the atmosphere is too cold.
