Pros

The staff is incredible and supportive of one another. Mission and values are admirable. Promotes improving mental health for staff and clients. Excellent programs and training opportunities. Encourages work-life balance.

Cons

As a non-profit, money is tight. It’s great that there are so many programs and initiatives, but growing them effectively is difficult with the funding available. They also are unable to hire enough staff to handle increasing workload, so staff are spread thin and receiving mediocre pay. Also, the structure of management creates confusion as their responsibilities don’t always align with program requirements, so it’s sometimes difficult to move forward with projects, as you need to consult and get approval with several different people in order to accomplish a single task.

Pros

If you have a good reporting manager then you can have a job for a long time.

Cons

The top management is always biased. There has been verbal arguments and escalation between top management and other employees. The work ethics is really bad and there is no opportunity for growth.
