Communication is utterly broken or almost nonexistent even within very small departments. No sense of direction is provided at the operational level. Managers try to keep pay so low that there is no effort on talent acquisition, professional development or career management. They get what they pay for: disengaged collaborators and lack of professionalism. Very little sense of collaboration or team work: constant backstabbing and very poor work environment. Pointing the finger and blaming are commonplace.
