Pros

- A big engineering organisation with multiple business areas and plenty of opportunities to grow. - Being a global player you get to work in multicultural, geographically spread, teams or peoples. - Nice work environments and office areas. - Very strong Research and Development teams. - Good benefits.

Cons

- Being big, at times it could be difficult to coordinate. - Being old, can feel like it is carrying quite a lot of legacy baggage. - Scope for modernisation of Way-of-Working - Management structures can be improved, specially in newer business areas. - Pay scales could be a bit better

Pros

Work–life balance is actually respected. Most managers honor boundaries, don’t expect late-night firefighting as the norm, and are fine with you taking time off when you need it. Solid parental leave. The parental leave policy is extremely generous compared to a lot of places in the industry, and leadership is generally supportive of people actually using it. Interesting, challenging work. Plenty of chances to solve real problems, not just busywork. If you’re proactive, you can own projects and grow your skill set. Good benefits package. Healthcare, 401(k), and time off are competitive, and HR does a decent job of making the options clear. Smart coworkers who care. A lot of sharp people who genuinely want to do the right thing for customers and the business, which makes collaboration worthwhile when it works.

Cons

Communication needs improvement. Priorities and decisions don’t always flow clearly from leadership to the teams doing the work, which leads to confusion and rework. Too many silos. Teams tend to operate in their own lane, and cross-functional collaboration can be painful. Information gets stuck instead of shared.
