BENEFITS! There is no Maternity leave or sick leave offered. You have to be enrolled in Short term disability, prior to pregnancy, to even get 6 weeks of pay and your pay is only 40% or 60% of your pay check, depending on what you are enrolled in. It is makes it very stressful to figure out how to take off the actual time needed to care for a baby as well as recover. Also, while out you do not accrue PTO and you need to pay SanMar for benefits even though you are not getting paid by SanMar. So once you are back you have no PTO in your bank, so you are not able to take time off if needed. It honestly causes a TON of stress trying to plan to take leave.
Along with no maternity or sick leave; the salaries here are NOT competitive at all. You are better off going to another company where you will make the salary you deserve. Salaries tend to be about $20K less here than you what would receive at a competitor, unless maybe you are in an exec role. This causes additional stress when trying to start a family as well.
