Pros
- World class organisation, proven themselves to be incredibly successful over decades - Huge resource pool to spend on projects - Generally talented colleagues - Formal and clear structure to get promoted/advance - Fairly merocratic ie if you perform well, you are rewarded - Good perks (staff discount, office facilities) - Good pay, certainly one of the best in the industry (though not up to Google, Apple etc)
Cons
- Korean culture is pervasive. In brief this means: know when to just do something and not argue with superiors, very numbers driven, work hard ethos - As with all companies there are politics. What can make this more difficult is that the Koreans hold a lot of power, but discuss things in Korean only groups. - If you are a poor performer, you will quickly be moved out of the business
