Pros

High Salary, flexible working hours

Cons

Very typical work you to death culture. Completely alien to benefits of western ways of working. HR is non-existent. CEO has anger management issues. There command of English is appalling. Most employees come from making washing machines and TVs one day to being in charge of quality of medicines the next thus a crazy, crazy lack of understanding. As they also share an office with big brother Samsung electronics, Bioepis has to abide to the same senseless security rules. They pride themselves on having a workforce with an average age of 33?!?!?! Hello hello, that’s nothing to be proud of and it actually shows in a total lack of life skills and on the job experience, it’s ran by a bunch of kids who are terrified to tell their boss that things aren’t good. They are as team oriented as they were in the winter Olympics. They have a very long way to go before they’ll be able to hang on to experienced people. The sooner they let go and establish an office outside of Korea the better

Pros

The company has talented and dedicated employees who work hard to reach corporate goals. Their pay is one of the best in Korea and their actual benefits are great. The clout of working for Samsung is unmatched which is why employees stay.

Cons

It has a very high stress work culture where everyone is quick to fend for themselves and assign blame when goal is not met in a timeline manner. Management has little experience in drug development and sets unrealistic timelines. The corporate inefficiencies are overcome with sheer man-hours poured in by the dedicated employees. Therefore, no work-life balance. CEO is difficult to work with and yells at his underlings at every meeting.
