Pros

I have been in recruitment for 5 years and have yet to come across a recruitment firm like Salt. They are hands down the best agency I have worked for or heard of in the business. Management is extremely supportive and tailors their management/communication style to your needs. When you need hands on support, they are there. If you are someone who does not need such close management, they allow you to be extremely independent. Recruitment is a roller coast ride and the management and team is always there for support Our team is filled with experienced recruiters unlike other firms who hire entry level grads. Our retention is great and the work environment is awesome! I have been with the company since they opened the NYC office and we have grown from a 4 person office to a 30+ person office in a year. Salt offers a great work/life balance. Of course recruitment takes hard work and dedication however they understand that it is important for us to have a balanced lifestyle and focus on ourselves and families. Salt offers a great base salary which is hard to come by, benefits and a solid commission structure.

Cons

Be prepared for the start up world!

Pros

I liked my manager and am still close to them today.

Cons

They were terrible at hiring internally, and would frequently hire people (ICs and "managers") they met out at bars. And, one day, you might wake up and see they've hired a friend of a board member to take over your team, when you already had a manager and did not get to meet them until they already signed an offer letter. Then there is debacle whether they are actually fit to be your manager, and they hang up a zoom call in your face because they disagree with you. So mature!
