(I currently manage a CosmoProf store) Sally Beauty Holdings just doesn't care about the employees in the stores. - Store Manager Sally Beauty Employee Review

Pros

Medical benefits are good although not as good as they once were. Free product samples are beneficial. Employee discount is appreciated although with a tax rate of 10% our current discount rate doesn't really make much difference.

Cons

People can rob us blind and we are powerless to do anything. We are expected to control shrink and keep it at an impossible level and yet we have no control. Our TM and DM treat us like replaceable robots. If we don't hop to when they want us to, they are quick to remind us that there is someone out there that can do our job. During bad weather-the type of weather where schools and public works are closed down-we are constantly pressured to report to work "hell or high water". We aren't given enough payroll hours in order to manage our employees efficiently.

Pros

Trying new products Assisting customers with product recommendations Commission on certain items

Cons

The daily revenue quota was at times very unrealistic and unattainable. A lot of pressure was put on our team to sell x/dollars per day but sometimes it just wasn't realistic (bad weather, lots of returns some days).

Pros

The people I worked with were always really cool and it was honestly a very easy job.

Cons

Upper level management was too uptight about certain goals that were unrealistic for beauty advisors, but there was never any big repercussions. Too little pay for the amount of work I did.
