Great Company - Junior Accountant Salient Employee Review

Love it very much here

None at all, company and people are amazing

1.) It's very easy to get a job with this company. Even for a technical position, they don't even ask you technical questions! You just talk to a few people and take a personality test. 2.) The company is very stable despite the recession. 3.) If you are fortunate enough to become one of managements' "favorites", you can get away with anything. 4.) Management has no idea how easy or difficult anything is. So you rarely have to rush to get anything done and the work is trivially easy if you have an IQ higher than the average wattage of a light bulb.

1.) It's very hard/impossible to get promoted. 2.) The benefits are okay considering the low cost area, but still leave something to be desired. There's a 401K but NO MATCHING. Salaries are pretty blah. 3.) There is no such thing as requirements. You will be verbally told what management needs and nothing will be in writing. That way they can change their mind at a later date and conveniently "forget" what they told you earlier. 4.) Management is very arbitrary. If you are in the "in" crowd, you can do as you please. You can arrive at 10 am, take a two hour lunch, and leave at 2 pm. If you're not in the "in" crowd, you'll get screamed at for leaving a second before 5.
