Pros

the people are solid. much of the onshore team is senior; people come to work, focus on meeting client commitments, and repeat the following day. nice to work with reliable professionals. sakonent is especially attractive for family life - work balance. the offshore team is incredible; generally deliver on time and work is high quality. office has a 'serenity room' which is a great place to mellow out after a high maintenance client meeting.

Cons

the firm adapts to a fluid industry; this requires an entrepreneurial mindset and for some this is unsettling

Pros

Location of the office is great - WIllis Tower. Most of the on-shore PMs/BAs were great; we all got along, collaborated and supported one another, regardless of the fact that the company was treating us poorly. The offshore team was phenomenal until the mass exodus there happened. Then only a few of the high caliber employees stayed, but we were grateful for them.

Cons

No career growth to speak of for the onshore team. The few that were promoted were puppets, friends or relatives of management. In the time I was there, I think maybe 3 people were promoted. Management pretended to be transparent, but really weren't all that honest. HR was a joke - things told to HR in confidence were often relayed to management; unfortunately there was no "ombudsmanship" Reviews, bonuses, merit increases were a minimal. Many late night and early morning meetings to accommodate the offshore team. A lot of hours were required for the projects, given that you could be assigned to 7 projects. All that for low pay, wasn't worth it.
