Pros

Nothing was even remotely professional in their recruitment process.

Cons

The recurring theme in SailPoint's self-promotion is that they don't employ jerks. For the entire duration of my first interview, the camera on the other side was turned off. Very impersonal and impolite. After the second, technical interview, I got a take-home challenge and a link to their system to upload my solution to. Upon registering to this system, I found that all other candidates' uploads were visible to me together together with their email addresses; and within a minute, I could find all other candidates over LinkedIn. When I notified SailPoint about their GDPR violation and asked if I could still compete (with an emailed solution) despite the unfair advantage I had over 3 other candidates, I got no response to my message. In response to a second message, they confirmed my wish to submit my solution over email but made no other comment. I completed my solution within the given timeframe and emailed it to SailPoint. I got a confirmation the same day, exactly a month ago that it would soon be reviewed. Until today I have sent 2 follow-up emails to 2 different persons at SailPoint but I have not received any response. Summary: the company that claims to be Unified identity security leak your personal information, turn off their camera during interviews and make you work hard on your take-home challenge only to ghost you right after that. It looks like they do employ jerks.

Pros

I joined SailPoint within the last year, and couldn't be happier with my decision. There are a couple of culture ideals that many companies talk about, but SailPoint makes a core practice. First, they push decision making down to the lowest level. Within just a few weeks, I was making significant decisions about the direction of my products with full support of my manager. Second, SailPoint has a rule, "No talented jerks." Employees that are good at their jobs, but treat coworkers poorly are let go. This has created one of the most respectful, cooperative, and teamwork focused cultures I've ever encountered. Add in working remote full-time and unlimited PTO, and it's hard to think of any downsides.

Cons

If you are not in the Austin area, and are not very comfortable with remote work, you might struggle since most of the company is remote, and you might only have face-to-face in-person time with your team a couple times a year.
