Pros

-caring, smart, and hard-working teammates and leaders -opportunity to make a difference on unique projects -exposure to incredible network and collaborators -excellent benefits and time off

Cons

-so many opportunities that it's not possible to pursue them all -such unique projects and environment that it's challenging to describe them to others at times -realities of working at a smaller-sized nonprofit organization

Pros

meaningful, rewarding work, get to meet amazing people in the community, great PTO policy and 401k match, flexible work hours

Cons

High turnover rate among HQ staff, especially among women. Huge pay disparity between female and male staff. Dealt with gender discrimination - women were prevented from advancing and expected to do the "housework" tasks in the office like making coffee, planning events, hosting guests, ordering food, etc. while white male staff, often with with less work experience than the female staff, regularly had more influence and leadership opportunities, were included in important meetings and consulted on major decisions. This organization does NOT practice what it preaches when it comes to equity and inclusion - talks a big talk, but does not implement equitable practices internally. Very misogynistic environment.
